INDO Restaurant & Lounge brings together traditional Indonesian flavor profiles with Western cooking methods to create a brand new culinary experience. Utilizing the native recipes of Chef DeCusine, Diana Anwar, Executive Chef and Owner Thomas Charoen's ever changing offerings of small plates and entrees are encouraged to be shared in the tradition of family style. Enjoy craft cocktails in the bar, lounge or patio from the cultivated palate of owner and restaurateur Bryan Lew or sample wines from our approachably eclectic wine list. Our promise to our guests is exceptional quality, great food, uniquely paired cocktails or wine with genuine hospitality that will make you feel right at home.


Tommy charoenexecutive chef

Thomas "Tommy" Charoen was born into a restaurant family in Thailand. As a young boy, he was unable to stay out of the kitchen and continued to help his Mother with the daily cooking. By the age of 17, he made his mother's restaurants a full-time job and made cooking a life passion.

His culinary training and mentorship began in Las Vegas, most notably at the Venetian, and led him through California with his French cooking methods. Chef Tommy excelled and was promoted quickly to Corporate Executive Chef of the Straits Restaurant Group after many tours in kitchens across the country.

There is no doubt from those who have had the privilege of enjoying his food or being in his company that his gift is in the ability to envision Eastern World cultural flavors prepared with western culinary traditions.


bryan lewowner/restauraneur

Born and raised in San Francisco, Bryan Lew has worked in restaurants since the age of 15. With humble beginnings as a Chinese food delivery boy, he climbed his way up one position at a time, honing his own vision for the guest experience. Before opening INDO Restaurant & Lounge he was a member of the Straits Restaurant Management Group, opening restaurants in Houston, Atlanta, and around the Bay Area.

A University of Hawaii graduate, Bryan Lew conceived INDO Restaurant & Lounge, with a "tip of the hat" to the past history of South East Asian food that once occupied its location. With his flare of style, Bryan wants INDO to showcase his team's talents. His philosophy is simple: serve quality food and drinks with genuine hospitality and great atmosphere. What is certain from his past achievements is his ability to recognize individual talent and create a successful team.



Diana Anwarchef de cuisine

"Deanna" began working at just five years old in her sister's restaurant in Surabaya, Indonesia. It did not take long for her to discover her life's passion as she quickly made a career of working in her family's restaurant. Having constantly honed her palate with family and friend's recipes she defined her style with new flavor combinations. She is the curator of our flavor experience here at INDO Restaurant & Lounge. To her friends and family she is the best at Indonesian home style cooking and here she is the heart of our dining experience. We are proud to showcase her over 27 years of authentic Indonesian home style cooking and invite you to join us and experience the same.
